Return and Refund Policy — Amino Asylum Official

One of the clearest failures of the original Amino Asylum was having no workable refund process when customers needed it most. That changes completely with the new Amino Asylum.

Our return and refund policy is written to be fair, readable, and actually followed. No buried clauses. No arbitrary denials. No making customers repeat themselves to five different people. If something goes wrong with your order, we want to make it right — quickly and without friction.

Read this policy before purchasing. If something is unclear, email sales@aminoasylumofficial.com before you buy and we will answer your question directly.

We stand behind the quality and accuracy of every product we ship. Every product in our catalog is independently tested before sale, with the Certificate of Analysis published on the product page. If what you receive does not match what was described and verified — we will make it right.


2. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

2.1 Situations Where We Will Provide a Full Refund or Replacement

You are entitled to a full refund or replacement (your choice) in the following situations:

  • Wrong product received — you received a different compound than what you ordered
  • Damaged product — your order arrived with broken seals, damaged packaging, or compromised product integrity
  • Missing items — your order was incomplete relative to your order confirmation
  • Product does not match COA — if independent testing you commission returns a result materially different from our published COA (see Section 6 for the independent testing process)
  • Order not delivered — your order is confirmed lost by the carrier and has not arrived within [X] days of the estimated delivery date
  • Significant shipping delay — your order is significantly delayed beyond the estimated delivery window due to circumstances within our control

2.2 Situations Where Returns Are Accepted (Store Credit or Exchange)

Because our products are research compounds with specific handling and storage requirements, we cannot resell returned product. In the following situations, we offer store credit or exchange rather than a monetary refund:

  • Change of mind — you no longer need the product (must be unopened, in original condition, within 14 days of delivery)
  • Ordered the wrong product — you selected the wrong compound or formulation (must be unopened, within 14 days of delivery)

2.3 Situations Where Returns or Refunds Are Not Available

The following situations are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Opened products where the complaint is change of mind (not a quality or accuracy issue)
  • Orders where the customer provided an incorrect shipping address and the order was delivered to that address
  • Products that have been stored improperly after delivery (research compounds require specific storage conditions — see product page for guidance)
  • Orders placed more than 30 days ago, unless the issue involves a product quality concern supported by independent testing documentation
  • Digital products or downloadable content

3. How to Request a Return or Refund

We have made this process as simple as possible. Here are the steps:

Step 1 — Contact Us Within the Eligible Window Email sales@aminoasylumofficial.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you are requesting a return or refund for
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Photos or documentation if relevant (damaged product, wrong item, etc.)

Step 2 — We Acknowledge Within 24 Hours A named member of our orders team will acknowledge your request within one business day. You will know who you are dealing with — not a ticket number.

Step 3 — We Assess and Respond Within 3 Business Days We will review your request and provide a decision within 3 business days. If we need additional information, we will ask for it clearly and once — we will not send you in circles.

Step 4 — Resolution Executed Within 7 Business Days Once approved, refunds are processed within 7 business days. Replacements are shipped within 3 business days of approval. Store credits are applied immediately upon approval.


4. Refund Methods

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

  • Credit/Debit Card Refunds — processed within 7 business days on our end; your bank’s processing time may add 3–5 additional business days before the credit appears on your statement
  • PayPal Refunds — processed within 3–5 business days
  • Store Credit — applied immediately to your account upon approval; no expiration date

We do not issue refunds via methods different from the original payment method. We do not issue cash refunds.


5. Return Shipping

When We Cover Return Shipping If the return is due to our error — wrong product, damaged product, missing items, or a quality discrepancy — we cover all return shipping costs. We will provide a prepaid return shipping label via email.

When You Cover Return Shipping If the return is due to a change of mind or ordering error, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as we cannot process a return for an item that does not arrive back to us.

Do not ship returns to any address other than the one provided by our orders team in your return confirmation email.


6. Independent Product Testing Disputes

We encourage independent verification of our products. If your independent test returns a result that materially differs from our published COA — particularly a purity result more than 5 percentage points below our published figure — we take that extremely seriously.

To initiate a quality dispute based on independent testing:

  1. Email sales@aminoasylumofficial.com with your order number, the product and lot number tested, the name and accreditation of the laboratory you used, and the full COA or test report from your independent lab
  2. We will review the documentation within 5 business days
  3. We will commission our own independent retest of the same batch from a second accredited laboratory
  4. If the discrepancy is confirmed, you are entitled to a full refund and we will remove the batch from sale and investigate the supply chain
  5. If the tests conflict, we will commission a third laboratory for a tie-breaking result
  6. We will publish the outcome of any confirmed quality dispute in our public COA database

This process exists because accountability requires it. If our product does not meet the standard we publish, you deserve to know and you deserve your money back.


7. Damaged or Lost Shipments

Damaged on Arrival If your order arrives visibly damaged — packaging integrity compromised, seals broken, product contaminated — do not use the product. Photograph the packaging and product before opening further, and contact orders@aminoasylumofficial.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will issue a replacement shipment at no charge.

Lost in Transit If your tracking shows no movement for more than [X] business days, or if your order is confirmed lost by the carrier, contact us. We will open a carrier claim and ship a replacement once the claim process is initiated. We do not require you to wait for the claim to resolve before sending a replacement.

Delivered to Wrong Address by Carrier If the carrier delivers your order to the wrong address (different from what you provided), contact us. We will file a claim with the carrier and work to resolve the situation. Outcomes depend on the carrier’s claim process and the specific circumstances.


8. Order Cancellations

Cancelling Before Shipment You may cancel an order at any time before it has been shipped for a full refund. Email orders@aminoasylumofficial.com with your order number as soon as possible after placing the order. Orders are typically processed within [X] hours, so act quickly.

Cancelling After Shipment Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. You may initiate a return upon delivery under the terms described in Section 2.


9. Subscription Orders

If you are enrolled in a subscription plan:

  • You may pause or cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account or emailing orders@aminoasylumofficial.com
  • Cancellations received more than 48 hours before the next scheduled shipment will prevent that shipment from processing
  • Cancellations received less than 48 hours before a scheduled shipment may not prevent that shipment; the return policy in Section 2 applies to any shipment that goes out after a late cancellation
  • We do not charge cancellation fees

10. A Note on the Previous Amino Asylum

The current Amino Asylum, operating at aminoasylumofficial.com, is under new ownership and is a legally separate entity from the original Amino Asylum that operated prior to the June 2025 FDA enforcement action. We are not able to process refund requests for orders placed with the original Amino Asylum business.

Frequently Asked Questions — Returns & Refunds

Q: How long do I have to request a refund? A: For quality issues — wrong product, damaged product, or COA discrepancies — you have 30 days from delivery. For change-of-mind returns, you have 14 days from delivery and the product must be unopened.

Q: Do I have to return the product to get a refund? A: For damaged or wrong products, we do not always require return. For change-of-mind returns, the product must be returned in original condition. We will specify what is required when we review your request.

Q: What if my package says delivered but I never received it? A: Contact us immediately. We will check the carrier tracking details, file a claim if appropriate, and work with you toward a resolution. We handle these cases individually as outcomes depend on carrier investigation.

Q: Can I exchange a product for a different compound? A: Yes, if the product is unopened and within 14 days of delivery. Contact our orders team and we will arrange an exchange. Any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.

Q: What if I’m not happy with the product for reasons other than quality? A: We want to understand why. Contact our support team. If the product met its labeled specification (as confirmed by the COA), a refund may not be available — but we will listen, document your feedback, and do what we reasonably can to address your concern.

Q: How will I know my refund has been processed? A: You will receive a confirmation email from our orders team when the refund is initiated, including the amount and the estimated time for it to appear on your statement.
